Your Cart - also known as the 'trolley' or 'basket' - is where your customers' products are placed as they shop on your store. This allows them to review the items they intend to purchase, including adjusting the quantity.

Note: The Cart is not the same as the checkout. The checkout is where payment and delivery details are processed. This is handled by the Shopify platform, and is therefore outside the theme's control - click here to learn more.


  1. Within your Shopify admin, go to Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes.

  2. Click your theme, and select Customize.

  3. Go to the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

  4. Scroll down to select Cart.

Cart Contents Under Theme Settings

You can only configure your Cart page under your theme settings rather than your templates.

When selecting the Template Cart section, you will notice that there are no settings - this is because your store's cart layout is configured within your theme settings.

Template cart has no content or settings - use theme settings instead.
